HOW THE STORY BEGAN

BERGUE’s story began in the cosy kitchen of our Lisbon apartment. It was a magical time filled with experimentation and a touch of chaos, but above all, it was a success. Our hard work paid off, and within a year, we moved from our kitchen to our first store at Lx Factory in Lisbon.

2008

THE OPENING OF OUR
FIRST STORE IN LX

As we expanded beyond our kitchen, we set up a workshop with our own designers in the main building of LX Factory. Responding to our clients’ desire for a place to visit and purchase our pieces directly, we relocated to the street level of LX Factory and opened our first shop.

This move was a real challenge, but it allowed us to connect directly with our clients, adjusting, making, and resizing any of our pieces on the spot.

2014

OUR NEW WORKSHOP
ON THE MEZZANINE

With the workshop on the mezzanine, everything became possible—custom orders, a bigger team, and the realization of our dream as our two-person operation grew into a team of ten.

2021

OUR SECOND STORE
OPENED IN CHIADO

We took another exciting step by opening a store in the heart of Lisbon: Chiado. We found the perfect spot near the beautiful Teatro de São Carlos, where creativity meets exceptional quality.

The Chiado shop offers a calming space to welcome our cherished clients, modifying family pieces, creating new heirlooms, and holding workshops to craft your own wedding rings.

Alongside our small international team led by Anne & Mathilde Bergue
(Owner & Co-Owner), we draw inspiration from our surroundings, embracing experimentation, craftsmanship, and the unique interplay of patterns and textures.

As our team continues to grow, we warmly welcome everyone who has been, or is currently, a part of BERGUE and shares our passion for continuous improvement.
