Certification and authenticity
We make our jewelry in our Lisbon ateliers, in recycled Sterling Silver 925 and recycled Gold.
Our pieces are tested and marked by the Contrastaria of INCM, the official Portuguese assay office.
Every Bergue piece comes with a certificate of authenticity. It confirms that your piece was made by our team in our ateliers, and lists your order number, the metal and the stones.
Keep it with your piece. It helps if you ever want to repair, resize or resell it.
This is the official chart of legal marks in use since 1 January 2021, published by the Contrastaria (INCM). Use it to recognise the marks on any piece of jewelry sold in Portugal.
If you're ever unsure about a mark, the Contrastarias in Lisbon and Porto can check the authenticity of the metal for you.
Legal marking
Our pieces in precious metal are legally marked by the Contrastaria, when applicable under the RJOC (Lei n.º 98/2015).
